 LAKESHORE STATE PARK DRIVING AND PARKING DIRECTIONS FOR MILWAUKEE DRAGON BOAT RACE


GETTING TO LAKESHORE PARK


The Park is located in and along Lake Michigan just east of the Summerfest Grounds and immediately south of Discovery World. The north entrance to the Park is the path to the Park’s bridge which is south of the Discovery World entrance. The south entrance to the Park is where Erie Street ends and meets the Milwaukee harbor entrance to parking. Follow the park road east along the water and under the Hoan Bridge. A “State Park Sticker” is not required, and free parking is available at marked locations and along the road. Follow the road to the end for parking nearest the south entrance to the park.

 

BY CAR


From the West:


Take I-94 east to the Lakefront exit. Turn right on Michigan St./Harbor Drive. The Park’s north entrance path is off the road to the south of Discovery World’s entrance. Or, continue south along Harbor Drive to reach Erie Street and then follow Erie Street to the Park’s free parking and south entrance. See parking options below.


From the North:


Take I-43 to 794 Lakefront and proceed to the Lakefront exit. Turn right on Michigan St./Harbor Drive. The Park entrance path is off the road to the south of Discovery World’s entrance. Or, continue south along Harbor Drive to reach Erie Street and then follow Erie Street to the Park’s free parking and south entrance. See parking options below.


From the South:


Follow I-94/I-43 north and take the exit towards the Lakefront exit. Proceed east to take the Lakefront exit. Turn right on Michigan St./Harbor Drive. The Park entrance path is off the road to the south of the Discovery World’s entrance. Or, continue south along Harbor Drive to reach Erie Street and then follow Erie Street to the Park’s free parking and south entrance. See parking options below.

 


DIRECTIONS TO THE PARKING LOT


If using GPS, set to “Milwaukee Sail Loft” restaurant, follow Erie Street towards the Red light house.
